The Allied Family

The Cain family started Allied Steel Corporation, Inc in February 1955 as local structural steel fabricator. In 1970, William “Billy” Hoven, joined Allied Steel and ultimately took a chance on the 28 year old estimator to 'keep the business open.' Over the next 40 years Billy grew Allied Steel in the structural fabrication field but also expanded operations to include blasting and coating.  Keeping the family business origination, daughters Candace Hoven Tate (President) and Lori Hoven Cole (VP) assumed ownership upon Billy's retirement in October 2018, making us the only certified Women Owned fabricator and coater in the southeast!
